I love being able to make my own covers as well. I've found that one piece of cardstock laminates much closer to the edge than two. I try and use double sided paper. Also, you can laminate once, then put that inside another sheet of laminate pocket and laminate again. That way you can double up the thickness. I use the 5mil for tabbed pages and dashboards and double up the 5mil for the covers (so I guess it's 10mil now😊) They feel the exact thickness of the store bought planners 😁
